How to configure a WiFi Router | How to change WiFi Router password.


Its very easy to configure a WiFi router or to change a wireless router password. No technical skills are required to configure the same.

To configure a router use below steps. You can perform these step with your computer or mobile phone as well.

1. Every WiFi router has an IP Address to connect it with an internet cloud. You have to get it first using below step.


2. If you are on a computer then go to run and type "CMD" in Run and press OK button .




3. Once you pressed the OK button you will see a command prompt. Type "ipconfig" in the command prompt.




4. You will see a all the information about IP Address as below in the snapshot. you will see the "Default Gateway" IP information as well in the command prompt. This is an IP address of your WiFi Router.



5. Enter this default gateway ( Router IP address) in your browser and press enter. You will see below page.




6. Every WiFi Router has its default username and password as per the company standard as below.

Dlink Username - admin Password - password

TP-Link- Username - admin password -

Netgear - Username- admin Password - admin

Enter the username and password and click on login

7. After login click on "quick setup " and enter the IP address of your internet connection.

8. Then configure the wireless settings with clicking on "Wireless Settings"

You will be able to change the router password and SSID as well
