Allow incoming and outgoing ports in a windows firewall.

In a computer or Server we can allow and deny the incoming and outgoing ports. To open a port in computer firewall follow below steps.

1. Open Control panel and click on "Windows Firewall"


2. Inside Windows Firewall click on "Advanced Settings" 



3. Now there is 2 options available "inbound rules" and "outbound rules". To allow a incoming port use "inbound rules" and to allow a outgoing port use outbound rules. Steps will remain same for allowing incoming and outgoing ports.



4. Right click on one of them as per your requirement and then click on "new rules"

5. choose port and click on next.



6. Select TCP to allow a TCP Port or select UDP to allow a UDP port and specified a local port. You can allow single port or multiple ports separated by commas. (Example 80,53,21,23).



7. Click on allow to allow a connection or click on block to block a connection then click on next.

8. Remain selected Domain, Private, Public.

9. Give a name and description and click on finish.
