Create password on your Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, 2010, 2013 or later | Configure Password on Outlook | Password on PST file


Outlook is a Microsoft Access Application where you can download your emails and can access them offline anytime.

Using outlook it is very important to to create password on it as every user can access your emails on your computer. This can be very dangerous as we keep all our private information related to credit card details, net banking password, email passwords, email recovery OTP, banks OTP, etc in our emails.

But you can secure your Outlook Emails with configuring a password on this.

Use below steps to create password on MS Office Outlook 2010, 2013 and later.

1. Open your Outlook and click on "File" at top left corner of your computer and you will see below dialog.


2. Now click on accounts settings inside on account settings as below.

3. Now click on "Data Files" and select your default PST file.

4. Click on "settings" and then "Change Password"

5. Enter your old password if you have or leave it blank in case of no password.

6. Enter your new password and click on "Ok"

Apply settings.

And you are done with password on your Outlook. 

Note :- If you have many pst files on your outlook or many of outlook accounts on your computer then you can create password on those pst's as well associated with that accounts.
